2012 Camp Dates Announced for Kenyon College and Calvin College!!
October 27, 2011
As the new season begins, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in our swim camps this past June. According to the feedback we have received so far from parents and campers, it was another very successful camp season! Many swimmers achieved life-time best swims using the skills, techniques, training and race strategies they developed at camp. Others reported feeling more refreshed and motivated than ever before after their Total Performance swim camp experience. We hope that Total Performance helped you elevate your swimming performances or improve your mindset to achieve your goals. In the new season, let us know how Total Performance Swim Camps have helped you develop and grow as a competitive swimmer...we love hearing from you!
For the summer of 2012 we have a few exciting changes and updates to our camp offerings. First, Total Performance is debuting its Science for Swimmers Camp – an innovative, one-of-a-kind program for scholar-athletes! The Science for Swimmers Camp combines top-notch swim training with hands-on, collaborative science instruction with Kenyon College faculty and leading experts in biology, like Dr. Mike Heithaus of National Geographic! It is designed for the high school swimmer that loves science and would love to do a science camp, but cannot take a week off of swimming.
Second, the Elite IM Camp is lucky to overlap with the 2012 Olympic Trials! This allows us to incorporate an exciting new feature to the camp – Olympic Trial Analysis Sessions – where our Elite campers and coaching staff will “view and review” the top techniques and race strategies used by our nations fastest swimmers, and then immediately apply these lessons in the pool! An opportunity like this only comes around once every four years!
Lastly, our Comprehensive Camps are now called Competitive Stroke Camps. The new name more appropriately reflects Total Performance’s dedication to helping campers improve each of the four strokes when it comes to technique, training and race strategy. This holistic approach to stroke development – emphasizing more than just technique – is at the essence of “Total Performance” and is one of the reasons swimmers find success with our camps.
Listed below is the 2012 camp schedule for our Kenyon College and Calvin College locations. The dates for our camps at Colgate University and Franklin & Marshall are forthcoming, so be on the lookout for their camp schedules in the coming weeks.
