Jim Steen
TPSC FOUNDER AND ELITE SPECIALTY CAMPS DIRECTOR
Jim Steen has been the head swimming coach at Kenyon College since 1976. In that time, Kenyon Swimming has become the most successful collegiate sports program in the country. The Lord's have won 31 consecutive NCAA Division III Championships while the Ladies have won 23 titles. In his 35 years at Kenyon, Coach Steen has developed over 150 NCAA Champions and over 330 All-Americans. He has coached several Olympic Trial qualifiers, Division I All-Americans, and been voted NCAA Division III Coach-of-the-year thirteen times.
Coach Steen is considered one of the most innovative and imaginative coaches in the country. Never content to repeat past successes, in 1996 Coach Steen took a one year sabbatical from Kenyon College to consult with many of America's top coaches prior to the Atlanta Olympic Games.
